Proverbs 21:2……Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
Liberation theology is a movement that interprets Scripture through the plight of the poor. It contests that true followers of Jesus work toward a just society, by bringing about social and political change by aligning themselves with the working class. It sees defending the poor as the central part of the gospel, WHICH IT IS NOT!
Sounds communistic, doesn’t it? One of the 45 goals of communism to take over the USA is to “Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”
This is what has been happening for a very long time now. The Bible has been perverted (Pro. 17:23; Ecc. 5:8; Acts 13:10; Gal. 1:7) and replaced by “better versions” for convenience or social acceptance. This change has been so slow and subtle, that people don’t even realize that they have moved away from the teachings of the Bible that God promised to preserve (Psa. 12:6-7). Not realizing that they have moved away from the teachings of the Bible, they have embraced a form of “social religion”, which as it ends up, is one of the plans that the communists have for the takeover of America.
This is the destructive Christianity that we have today. It is one that holds paramount the church’s requirement to work at social reform. So much so, that a person’s involvement in social activities is often used as a measurement for personal salvation. It is often interchanged with the statement, “Have you accepted Jesus as your personal Saviour?” What they mean by that is, “Are you doing good works to help society as your means to salvation?”
The Bible certainly tells Christians to care for the poor (Gal. 2:10; Jas. 2:15–16; 1 John 3:17) and cautions about the deceitfulness of riches (Mark 4:19). But, “social religion” is wrong. It is not right to place social action on equal footing with the gospel message. It must never take the place of the gospel of Christ (Acts 3:6).
Although man has many needs, his primary need is spiritual, not social. Social must never supersede the spiritual. A person with a money problem may think that getting more money from someone is all that he needs from the church to solve his problems, is ignoring his often-greater need of spiritual instruction from the situation that God has him going through. Because of this ignorance, churches are called daily by someone needing a bill paid, or gas for their car, etc. However, when engaging them on their spiritual need for salvation, they become cold, and even indignant; sometimes even argumentative: “You are a church, you’re supposed to help me!”
There is much more to the church mandate than to give money. The mandate of the church is to give people the gospel; to address man’s spiritual need (Mark 16:15-16). We must win people to the Lord.
As the communist set about to destroy America from within, by seeking a slow, but steady change of American culture, so must the world be changed for Christ. It is by the slow, steady winning of souls that upsets the Devil’s plan. It is the raising of our children to respect spiritual needs and not confuse the boundaries of social activities with spiritual ones that makes the difference in winning the world. The Lord’s plan is a perfect plan that will pull the rug out from under the feet of the Devil before he even knows what is going on. Where are the “activists” for Christ? ~
