Playing God?

1 Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

If you encourage (entice) someone to leave their church to come to your church because you think it has more to offer, you might be playing God in someone’s life. You are either saying “God didn’t want you there” or “God really wanted you there, but I want you here.” Either way, you robbed that person of a blessing, and more than that, you robbed God of a blessing. It is always best to let God be God (Rom. 12:1-5). It is always best to encourage people to wait on the Lord (Psa. 27:14; 37:24; Pro. 20:22). Just like you always have a reason and a plan for what you are doing, God has one as well. The difference is that His plan is perfect. It is a dangerous thing to meddle (Pro. 24:21) in God’s affairs.
